Princeton Environmental Film Festival The festival goal is to use film as
a medium to encourage discussion about the environment, raise awareness about environmental issues and concerns, and stimulate community action
to develop make more environmentally sustainable choices and create more livable communities. Sponsored by the Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton, NJ.

Sustainable Princeton, the festival's first event, is at noon on January 2.
Wendy Kaczerski and Matt Wasserman, of the Princeton Environmental Commission, will speak on how Princeton's municipal government, school district, businesses and residents are already working to achieve some of
the goals in the developing Princeton Sustainable Community Plan. They also will quantify Princeton's overall "carbon footprint" as well as that
of businesses and residents, and discuss the most effective ways to reduce carbon emissions.  At 2 p.m., Martin Johnson, President and Founder of Isles, Inc. will discuss the potential for converting older homes and factories into
high performing, low-cost places to be. He will  will talk about Isles’ programs as well as new training and business opportunities in green development.  Since 1981 Trenton, NJ based Isles, Inc. has developed tools that families and neighborhoods use to build assets, restore the environment and achieve self-reliance.
At 4 p.m
., the film Faces from the New Farm chronicles a 2,000 mile bicycle trip made by Lara Sheets, Liz Tylander, and Kat Shiffler to explore the budding sustainable agriculture and local food movement.
At 7 p.m
., in the film Radiant City, Gary Burns, Canada's king of surreal comedy, joins journalist Jim Brown on an outing to the burbs. Venturing into territory both familiar and foreign, they turn the documentary genre inside out, crafting a vivid account of life in The Late Suburban Age.

Sustainable Cherry Hill has started a chapter of this popular social and business networking happy hour that brings together a wide array of environmentally minded people each month over beverages to discuss green and sustainable solutions, ideas, concepts and much more. This laid-back, unstructured gathering is part of
an international movement and a collaborative effort with Green Drinks Philadelphia. The gathering is scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month.

New Jersey Construction Lien Law
8:30 to 10 a.m., Builders League of South Jersey, 114 Haddontowne Court, Cherry Hill, NJ.
James A. Kozachek, a construction law attorney at Flaster/Greenberg, will present details on filing and defending against lien claims and will discuss
both recent case law interpreting and applying
to the Construction Lien Law and current efforts before the state legislature to amend key provisions of the law. Kozachek,
a Columbus, NJ resident, concentrates his practice on construction law, real estate law, and environmental law, serving as counsel to developers, business owners, operators, contractors, sub-contractors, insurers, bonding companies, engineers, architects, and other licensed design professionals.
