Birding at Althouse Arboretum

Please join VFAS past president Vince Smith for a birding trip through the Althouse Arboretum, an award-winning outdoor community resource center built and managed by regional students. Located just north of Pottstown, Althouse Arboretum’s mission is to promote health and wellness for plants, people, and the planet – and birds too, certainly!

Beginning birders and children are always welcome on Valley Forge Audubon Society outings. Please bring binoculars if you have them. All trails are earthen, wood-chipped, or stone and may be muddy, uneven, and rocky in spots so good hiking shoes are necessary. A portable restroom is available on site.
