A bridge that once carried freight trains over the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie, NY
(then a bustling industrial town) today carries joggers, walkers, baby-carriage-pushers and thousands of tourists looking for a dramatic view of the river.


Our editor continues his late-summer road trip up the Hudson with eastward moves ahead.
